Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplements
Medicare Advantage
Medicare Advantage plans replace Original Medicare for the delivery of Medicare-covered services. Plans may include provider networks, copayments, drug coverage, and additional benefits. Costs and benefits vary by plan and area.
Medicare Supplement
Medicare Supplement insurance works with Original Medicare to help pay certain deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments. You generally add a separate Part D prescription drug plan.

Annual reviews matter
Medicare Advantage and Part D plans can change premiums, formularies, provider networks, copayments, and benefits each year. Even when you like your current plan, it is sensible to review the Annual Notice of Change and compare your options during the appropriate enrollment period.
